One day with Curtex class, I started the day with new curriculum, which designed for Indonesian education. Kurikulum 2013 was designed for students now available in test-mode in some class. My lecturer send me to present about Approaches to Curriculum Design, this is the conclusion.

Approaches to Curriculum Design
Conclusion

There are two model of curriculum design, Graves’ model and
Murdoch’s model. Graves’ model examined the curriculum design in general method and Murdoch more interesting to examine the curriculum design in detail method.

We could take one of those starting points to make a curriculum design:
a. Curriculum designers and teachers can start from nothing and gather and write the material.
b. Curriculum designers and teachers can draw on a bank of existing materials from which they select the most appropriate material for the course.
c. Some curriculum statements and some course books deliberately provide only some of the material needed for a complete course.
d. The teacher chooses a published course book and uses that as the only material or the main material for the course.
