1. The equilateral pentagon curve is a typical ornament of the Gorontalo region symbolizing the five precepts of the Pancasila state foundation which is the principle of UNG, as well as the five joints of Gorontalo civilization called {Payu Limo to Talu, Lipu Pei Hulalu}

2. The skeleton of a lotus flower that has been in full bloom contains the hope that UNG will produce complete and quality human resources.

3. The circle of the globe symbolizes the commitment to achieve the vision, mission and goals of UNG, while the blue color symbolizes security and peace.

4. An open white book means an open attitude and a high spirit to develop science, technology, arts and culture.

5. The pen in the form of a five eye ornament symbolizes that religion, science, technology, art and culture are a unified whole in the world of education.

6. The black king's crown with golden yellow decoration symbolizes culture, firmness and glory of a dignity. 23 gold grains symbolize the historic day of the Gorontalo people, where January 23, 1942 as the independence day of the Gorontalo people and at the same time June 23, 2004 the day the President of the Republic of Indonesia inaugurated the UNG.

7. The maleo's orange wings symbolize the high fighting spirit and dynamic movement of the academic community in developing UNG.
