The world of emergency. The COVID-19 outbreak that threatened the entire country paralyzed many sides of life, not only impacting the economy or tourism, but also impacting education, an increasingly elongated outbreak, led many to question the credibility and quality of education services at the lowest level to the highest level. For the University, Responsibility in improving the quality of human resources, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic is really heavy.
In the midst of a pandemic, it doesn't mean education should be stopped. There must be the latest innovations to save the future of Indonesian children. A more effective learning system must be presented in the community to answer community concerns about the quality of their children's education.
As a platform in engender to a younger generation with a million potential. Campus is really in times of crisis. In fact, lockdown policies, Online Lectures in the new normal era, helped suppress the incidence of contagion, but in effect, many parents complained about the quality of education and the results achieved by their children that were not Satisfying. Many parents consider government policy in the world of education less effective.
As if answering community unrest, ‘UNG’ as a Campus of Civilization Continues to create innovations in teaching and learning system while still numbering the safety of students in the midst of pandemics, because if the campus does not take the current policy, then education will suffer a setback. Through the policy of the ministry of education, the program 'MERDEKA BELAJAR'. Starting to revive the education in Indonesia. Several campuses in Gorontalo, synergize and cooperate in meeting this policy, which is expected to start advancing higher education in Gorontalo.
Minister Nadiem explained that the Independent Campus program, allows a student to study other courses outside of their studies. which aims to encourage students to master various scientific skills that are useful to enter the world of work.
‘KAMPUS MERDEKA, MERDEKA BELAJAR' became a fresh wind for UNG students, after a few months, finally students got new hope to continue studying safely and comfortably. For freshman like me, this seems to give a bright spot, how we will live 4 long years with UNG.
This is an innovation that was taken nationally, but still its application depends on the readiness of the campus in managing and running the system for all students, especially in the midst of the covid-19 outbreak that still continues to threaten.
Whatever innovations the campus takes, as students, we have high hopes. As a place to study, UNG must be ready, UNG must rise in the midst of pandemic.
The campus of civilization that hopes, hang on, COVID-19 may be a threat, but we believe, a campus was born to give hope, give a future, engender to a golden generation, a generation that is ready to compete.
Campus of civilization. Hopeful Campus. Hang on for us, survive to engender quality human resources. We are confident, UNG is ready and will rise. 'Independent Campus, Independent of Learning.
