The Indonesian badminton team recieved a warm welcome from the Mayor of Machida Joici Isizaka during the premiere practice at the Machida Gymnasium, Firiday (20/8). The Joici Isizaka meeting with the Indonesian badminton team took place in a familiar situation but wrapped is strict crime protocol. Isizaka appreciates the red and white team's trust in macida before appearing in the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. "So happy to welcome Indonesian badminton players here to perform practice ahead of the Tokyo Paralympics 2020," Isizaka said in the official caption NPC Indonesia, Friday quoted from BETWEEN. "All Indonesian athletes are happy with the atmosphere here" connect Isizaka. Meanwhile, Indonesian para-badminton tea manager Sapta Kunta Purnama said Joichi Isizaka's presence is a support for Indonesian badminton athletes. "I think the Mayor of machida for the opportunity given the Indonesian badminton team to undergo practice here," Kunta said. At today's practice, the whole player was given a portion of light training. The plan is sunday and monday will be morning and afternoon practice and open for Machida residents to be able to watch the practice of Indonesian players. Machida is not a new place for Indonesian para-badminton athletes. In 2017, the Red and White squad once carried out a plate in Machida which is about 45 Km from downtown Tokyo, to perform to the world championship. "All athletes have enough to know the environment and weather in Machida. There are even some citizens here who still remember our player name," said Kunta. As for the Tokyo Paralympics, badminton is a branch of debutant sports. Indonesia sends seven best athletes and is expected to receive one gold medal. They are Ukun Rukaendi, Hary Susanto, Fredy Setiawan, Leani Ratri Oktila, Khalimatus Sadiyah,Suryono Nugroho,and Dheva Antrimusthi. Athletes are accompanied by team manager of badminton Sapta Kunta Purnama and coach Yunita Ambar Wulandari.
